If you get the error message - “Software requires use of interactive stylus” when touching your stylus to the whiteboard please do the following:
  1. Try another stylus that you are sure is working fine
  2. Position your eBeam at the top left or right corner of the projected area
    • Bright overhead lights can interfere with eBeams mounted at the bottom of a whiteboard
  3. Follow these steps to completely remove the software and preferences if step 1 and 2 do not work for you (MAC only - if you are using a PC just go to Add/Remove programs and reinstall):
  • Go to ‘Applications’ - drop the eBeam Interact folder and eBeam Capture icon into the trash
  • Go to your HD root -> Library -> Caches
  • Do a search for ‘luidia’ and ‘ebeam’ – trash anything found
  • Go to your HD root -> Library -> Preferences
  • Do a search for ‘luidia’ and ‘ebeam’ – trash anything found (there should be multiple files found)                    Example = com.luidia.ebeam.XXXXXX.plist
  • Empty your trash and restart the computer
  • Upon reboot download Capture and Interact again from luidia or http://adamsbiz.com/downloads
  • Unpack and install
  • I also suggest re-pairing your eBeam via Bluetooth ( recommended pairing can be found here Getting Started under the Mac-Bluetooth tab )
