So you have followed the Getting Started: PC - Bluetooth instructions attempting to use the included ioGear dongle and generic Microsoft drivers to no avail. You cannot get Windows to auto install the drivers when you insert the dongle or Bluetooth devices does not successfully pair the eBeam. While this is the recommended way to setup the eBeam - Bluetooth connection on some PCs setup is not successful. In that case we recommend using a Broadcomm driver with My Bluetooth Places. Please follow these instructions to setup your eBeam:
- Go to Add/Remove Programs - make sure no Bluetooth software or drivers are already installed. Remove any already installed Bluetooth software.
- Go to iogear.com and download the latest driver for your ioGear dongle - see sticker on bottom of dongle
- Download and start install
- When the Welcome screen appears, choose "Install Driver".
- Follow the prompts to accept the license agreement and install the driver.
- When prompted by the installer, during the installation process,
insert the ioGear dongle into any available USB port on your
computer.
- The installer may display the following explanatory screen. Choose "OK".
